National data packs
When the inclusive units in the Basic subscription are reached, Internet access is blocked. Access can only be unlocked with a national data package. By default, such a package is purchased automatically. The automatic addition can be deactivated in the Cockpit.
Any inland data packs you buy roll over to the following month and don’t ever expire.
Roaming data packs
Roaming data packs have to be manually added in your Cockpit.
International data packages are valid for 12 months from the time of activation. After that, any remaining data volume expires. Please ensure that you select the correct country of travel when purchasing in order to purchase the correct data package.
Our 10 GB (EU/USA) package is an exception. This expires one year after purchase or after 30 days of first use. The reason for this is that after the 10 GB have been used up, you can continue surfing at a reduced speed (256 kbit/s download and 128 kbit/s upload) until the 30 days have expired. This is sufficient for receiving and sending text messages.
We want to avoid you getting any unexpected roaming charges. That’s why we don’t automatically renew international data packs for you.
